Update #2

Here is the official response of the Canadian delegation. I don't think the three of us agree completely with their point of view. Will keep everyone updated.

Dear Canadian Delegates,

Things have been moving fast and decisions were made in the moment which you may or may not agree with. However, in the chaos, a full Canadian delegation consensus couldn't be reached and this is the decision that we made. Now, we ask that you join us tomorrow in our action by taking the stance below.

An open invitation from Canada,

The Canadian delegataion, on a matter of political principle, has decided that since all 1,300 delegates will not be permitted to enter Gaza we will not send any Canadian delgates on the bus.

Instead, we will support our brothers and sisters who have decided to take our humanitarian aid and love to Gaza and wish them well on their journey. In Cairo, we will continue to appeal to the Egyptian government to change their mind and let us all go into Gaza. We will not let them divide us!

In the meantime, we're here to ask the question: How come our buses were left behind? To illustrate this, we will be at the bus stop (directions below) tomorrow morning with our packed bags, a symbolic bus and our collective will.

We invite you, not as delegates, but as citizens of the world to join us in this action. We will be there at 6:30am with banners of solidarity to bid a farewell to those who are Gaza-bound.
